I have been so bloody busy at work lately, I haven't had time even to buy tickets for gigs. So I have amended myself and bought no less than 3 tickets today. Which are the following
- Yann Tiersen, 29th April, Scala. For those who don't know him, he is mostly known for doing the "Amelie" soundtrack. An amazing musician, playing any instrument from guitar to violin. And a fantastic live performer. Highly recomended!!!
- Tom McRae, Sheperds bush Empire, 12th May. Granted, his first, eponymous album is his best. But still, seeing him perform "Karaoke Soul", "A & B song" or "The boy with the bubblegun" should be worthwhile. Hopefully...
- The White Stripes, Hyde Park, 14th June. I must confess I have never seen them live. And this is because I am not a big fan. Yet, Jack White's voice can be extremely moving (His cover of "Djoleen", as the White Stripes, as well as the version of Bang Bang played by The Raconteurs, are both amazing) so I think I had to go there. Plus, gigs at Hyde Park in the summer are just great as long as the weather is good.
