The news fell on me today, along with the snow: The new Smashing Pumpkins album will be released on the 7th of July, and will be called Zeitgeist (cool name!)
That is a great news, And I can't wait to hear their new stuff, hopefully the album will leak on the internet sometime soon ;-)
The release date is a bit strange as the 7th July is a Saturday, but it must be on purpose to be 07/07/07. Let's just hope the song does not contain only 7 songs!
Also, it is still not known who is in the band apart from frontman Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlain.
On the tour side, only four dates have been announced so far, all in Germany. Somehow, I have the feeling they will play at Werchter, which would be amazing. We'll see...
