For the last couple of days, I have been listening to Neon Bible, the latest album of Arcade fire. (Thanks to the Silver-footed Gig slut for the advice)It is brilliant. the lyrics are really, really dark, and the music is completely different from one song to another.
"Been working for the Church while my family dies
Your little baby sister's gonna lose her mind
Every spark of friendship and love will die without a home"
How much darker than that can you do, really...
So here's a video of them playing Intervention. It is great, apart from the guitar-trashing at the end. Come on, you guys are too old for that...

Arcade fire are great! Any plan to see them live? I know they like to play in old churches and I am sure there is no shortage of them in London!
Well I missed them in Brixton, but they're doing festivals this summer so I'm sure I'll catch them eventually.
