Today is opening at Harrods an exhibition of electric guitars named Born to Rock. Well, that doesn’t sound very appealing to me; I can see such an exhibition in my favourite guitar shop every day. OK, there will be the first electric guitar ever built on display, and apparently a guitar drenched in Rory Gallagher’s sweat! Ark!
I’ll probably go and see it though, if only because it’s free, but really if I can’t play them I don’t see the point. But hey, we never know…
More interesting: on the 18th February there will be an attempt to beat the world record for the most guitarists playing simultaneously. That could be fun!
Let’s just hope that they’ll make people stick to G, C and Em chords or the whole thing might sound really, really terrible.
